Welcome to Ohoka Estate

Where lifestyle meets community

Ohoka Estate is a proposed development in Ohoka, Waimakariri covering around 156 hectares of land southwest of Mill Road in between Bradleys Road and Whites Road.

We have lodged an application for a plan change with the Waimakariri District Council, seeking to rezone the land from rural to residential and business, to enable the development. The project is in the early stages of the re-zoning process. There will be opportunities for consultation with the wider community to provide feedback and suggestions on the development.

Ohoka Estate will provide up to 850 new residential sections and includes a village centre – providing local amenities and services for residents and the wider local community, a small village square for community gatherings, and a potential location for a school or retirement village.

It will be a master-planned, high-end development that encourages connectivity with Ohoka village and the existing community facilities. The proposed development will maintain the unique, rural character of Ohoka and ensure that the feedback and desires of the local community are incorporated.

About Ohoka

Ohoka is one of Canterbury's most sought-after locations, just ten minutes from nearby Rangiora and Kaiapoi, and with the new northern corridor motorway, it’s only approximately 20 minutes from the Christchurch CBD. Ohoka has a thriving local community, including a popular weekly farmers market and local primary school.

This website has been created as a place where the local community can provide feedback and suggestions about our proposed development, both positive and negative, directly to us and to provide more information for those who are interested in the subdivision.

Ohoka is a highly sought-after location, and we want to provide opportunities for people to live and work in this beautiful area. We really appreciate its unique, rural environment and it’s important to us that this character is maintained throughout the Ohoka Estate development.
