The Carter Group

The Carter Group is a privately held, family owned and Canterbury-based company established in 1946. A long-term developer in Canterbury, we understand the need to develop land to build communities where people can build warm, quality homes.

We have extensive experience in residential subdivision development having previously completed Hyde Park in Avonhead, and Regents Park in Casebrook. Regents Park was the first subdivision in Christchurch to create streams and lakes within the development — encompassing 300 sections, it is regarded as a highly successful development with a unique and enjoyable living environment.

Our commitment to the region is also reflected in our successful retail and commercial development, The Crossing, in Christchurch’s CBD and IPort Business Park, a large industrial development in Rolleston.
